Job description

As Supervisor of Barraca you are (co-)responsible for the operational execution according to the "Claus" standards and values. You organize, delegate and control all operations with full and enthusiastic attention to optimizing sales, costs and a unique taste experience. You will collaborate operationally and be a role model for the team. You will report to the Assistant F&B Manager.


Claus
BARRACA is the Rodizio Grill & Bar in Claus. The evening begins in the bar, with a beautiful view through to the original churrasco grills where the meat is traditionally grilled. Rodizio stands for its unique mode of service. Passadores continuously walk around with large skewers and cut a nice piece of meat at the table upon request.

Claus Company is a leading and dynamic hospitality company engaged in all forms of hospitality such as: restaurants, hotel, events, conventions, bowling etc. Claus Company consists of Claus and Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport. There is also a head office. Important Claus spearheads are: always good quality, creative and professional. Our company employs around 200 people, of whom around 100 are on call.

Job requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Putting the restaurant in order based on occupancy/reservations.
  • Making daily staff schedules and distributing work.
  • Checking the restaurant and work areas for orderliness, hygiene and overall presentation.
  • Ensuring the quality and quantity of products provided.
  • Coaching, supervising and directing employees.
  • Instruct and supervise new employees.
  • Act as host/hostess.
  • Preventive attention and monitoring for possible fraud.
  • Correcting erroneous attacks on operating keys.
  • Checking equipment and materials.
  • Handling guest complaints and comments.
  • Supplying images of atmosphere/activities in Barraca to Marketing
  • Actively bring in new ideas, with the aim of
  • Working more efficiently
  • Recruit more guests
  • Create loyal staff
  • Recruit new employees
  • Keeping the product range up to date
  • Ensuring that employees are aware of current house rules, procedures and work system.
  • Conduct semi-annual performance, and appraisal interviews.

Education and work experience:

  • Completed hospitality training at least MBO level.
  • Extensive practical experience in serving.
  • General product knowledge in the field of Food & Beverage.
  • Apprenticeship diploma and/or knowledge of Micros POS systems are a plus.



Other requirements:

  • Good command of the Dutch and English language;
  • Willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
