The Restaurant Manager of BARRACA is jointly responsible for the operational execution in this Brazilian Rodizio restaurant according to "Claus" standards and values. Your main responsibility is to ensure the quality of our authentic Rodizio concept. 


You organise, delegate and control all work activities. With full and enthusiastic attention to optimising turnover, costs and a unique taste experience. You report directly to the Rodizio Manager. With your enthusiastic, representative and hospitable appearance, you give our guests an unforgettable experience. You cooperate operationally and you are an example for the team.


BARRACA

BARRACA is the Rodizio Grill & Bar in Claus. The evening starts in the bar, with a beautiful view through to the original churrasco grills where meat is traditionally grilled. Rodizio stands for its unique mode of service. Passadores continuously walk around with large skewers and cut a nice piece of meat at the table upon request.


Claus Hoofddorp

BARRACA is part of Claus, a leading leisure & event venue with several halls, two restaurants, bars and Claus Bowling. Claus Hoofddorp is located next to sister company Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport Hotel.

Job requirements

Duties and responsibilities

  • Making daily staff planning and distributing work in consultation with the supervisor.
  • Checking the restaurant and work areas for orderliness, hygiene and overall presentation.
  • Provide input on possible innovations/improvements to the concept to Operations Manager.
  • Ensure the quality and quantity of products provided.
  • Coach, supervise and manage the restaurant staff.
  • Supervise, train and motivate service staff.
  • Instruct and supervise the passadores and wait staff.
  • Act as host.
  • Preventive attention and control of possible fraud.
  • Correcting erroneous attacks on operating keys.
  • Checking equipment and materials.
  • Handling complaints and comments from guests.
  • Assist with preparations of two annual performance and appraisal interviews for employees serving (to be conducted by Supervisor Barraca).
  • Assist with preparations and co-perform two annual performance and assessment interviews for passadores and grill master (to be conducted by Supervisor Barraca).
  • Working with checklists and improving them each time.
  • First point of contact for guests; you are the face of BARRACA.
  • As part of the operational management team, take care of the entire operational cooperation between the three outlets (Claus Bowling, BARRACA and Claus Events).


Profile
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic manager who wants to become the face of BARRACA. Hospitality is in your blood and you enjoy transferring this to your team. You enjoy sharing the South American passion for food and drink with both your team and colleagues.

Other requirements

  • Operational and/or restaurant experience
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • You are available full-time.
  • Good command of the Dutch and/or English language (Portuguese is a plus)
