Corporate Sales Manager (FT)

Job description

The aim of the Corporate Sales Manager is to achieve the stated objectives with regard to the sales action plan and the associated targets based on ABC account management. You are also responsible for realizing mainly group reservations for rooms and halls in the most favorable way possible in terms of occupation and revenue, often based on guidelines from the Revenue Manager/(Assistant) General Manager. The internal and outgoing sales ratio is 25% / 75%. As a Corporate Sales Manager you are part of the management team.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Setting up sales activities regarding target groups to be approached (regional business accounts, national and international accounts and all other segments, based on the group formula, using group information and files).
  • Monitoring market developments and adjusting/adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Approaching your own target groups yourself.
  • Detecting and selecting potential relations.
  • Making contacts and making appointments.
  • Informing contact persons about facilities, facilities, possibilities and prices.
  • Organize and conduct tours of the hotel.
  • Drawing up quotations/contracts, with proposals for deviating/special arrangements to the General Manager if necessary.
  • Maintaining contacts with existing accounts, partly by means of a periodic visit, providing attentions for contacts and organizing account events in the hotel.
  • Co-developing ideas for arrangements, engaging external suppliers/companies of services and facilities.
  • Orientate on possibilities, make agreements for the provision of services and facilities, including negotiating prices.
  • Coordinating the realization (content/circulation) of mailings and printed matter in consultation with the marketing department.
  • Promote effective time planning for visit reporting and results overviews.
  • Handling the daily checklist.
  • Understand the hotel's cancellation, no-show and credit policy.
  • Be attentive to the search for and use of commercial opportunities in contacts and information conversations.
  • Carrying out activities and handling exploratory requests (from guests and visitors) about possibilities/festivities, including making suggestions and proposals about the design of these possibilities/festivities.
  • Make effective use of Opera software.
  • Collaborate with the sales team of Element, Papa's Beach House and Papa's Loft House through communication through meetings, joint mailings and joint visits to prospects.
  • Co-sell and generate leads for Element, Papa's Beach House and Papa's Loft House.
  • Collaborate with other Marriott Hotels in terms of meetings, sales blitz, newsletters, advertisements, trade fairs, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Reservations, Front Office and F&B.
  • Carrying out all possible related activities ordered by the management of the hotel.
