For the Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport, we are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and driven Operations Manager who thrives in leading a dynamic hotel operation.

In this versatile role, you will be responsible for coordinating, optimizing, and further developing the daily hotel operations. You will work closely with the General Manager and support the achievement of ambitious operational, financial, and commercial objectives. Together with the department heads of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance, you will ensure a consistent, high-quality, and memorable guest experience every day.

As Operations Manager, you play a key role in ensuring compliance with the brand standards of Marriott International, while also developing and motivating teams and driving strong operational and financial performance. You are highly visible on the floor, work closely with your teams, and regularly take on the role of Manager on Duty (MOD).

Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport is a professional 4-star superior hotel, beautifully located on the edge of the Haarlemmermeerse Bos in Hoofddorp. With 260 modern guest rooms and 10 meeting rooms, the hotel primarily focuses on the international business traveler.

What does a typical day look like as an Operations Manager?

Hotel Operations

  • Coordinate the daily hotel operations.

  • Lead and support the department heads of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance.

  • Ensure consistent service quality and compliance with the brand standards of Marriott International.

  • Regularly act as Manager on Duty (MOD).

Guest Experience

  • Ensure an outstanding guest experience and continuously improve service quality.

  • Actively follow up on guest feedback and online reviews.

  • Support operational teams in resolving guest requests and operational challenges.

Financial Performance & Business Results

  • Monitor operational budgets, labor costs, and overall performance.

  • Track key hotel KPIs such as RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and guest satisfaction scores.

  • Participate in monthly P&L reviews and contribute to forecasting and budget planning.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team members.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of employees.

  • Foster a positive and professional working environment focused on teamwork and performance.

Brand Standards

  • Ensure full compliance with the brand standards of Marriott International.

  • Prepare for and support brand audits and follow-up improvement actions.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • 3–5 years of management experience within the hospitality industry.

  • Experience across multiple hotel departments, preferably Rooms Division and/or Food & Beverage.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • An analytical and results-driven mindset, with knowledge of hotel KPIs and financial reporting.

  • A flexible, hands-on attitude, with good command of both Dutch and English.
