Would you like to run the kitchen of a brand-new restaurant on Leidseplein from day one? Then read on!

As an Independent Cook at Barraca Amsterdam, you’ll be a key player in our kitchen. At our brand-new Rodizio Grill & Bar on bustling Max Euweplein, you’ll work with high-quality ingredients and ensure that every dish is prepared with care and precision.

From the moment we open, you’ll be jointly responsible for a well-oiled kitchen operation and consistently top-quality dishes.

About Barraca

Barraca is the Claus Group’s spectacular Rodizio Grill & Bar concept. Rodizio is an authentic Brazilian dining concept where a wide variety of meats are grilled and then sliced and served at the table by a team of Passadores. In addition, there is unlimited access to the extensive Fresh Market Table and various served side dishes.

Following our success in Hoofddorp, we will soon be opening our new location in the heart of Amsterdam, and you can be a part of it from day one!

Job requirements

What will you be doing?

As an Independent Cook at Barraca Amsterdam, you will manage your station independently and ensure that everything is taken care of down to the last detail. You will:

  • Prepare dishes according to recipes and quality standards;

  • Handle mise-en-place and ensure efficient workflow organization;

  • Work closely with the Head Chef and the team;

  • Monitor the quality, taste, and presentation of the dishes;

  • Keep your workspace clean and work in accordance with HACCP guidelines;

  • Be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays;

  • Contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere in the kitchen.

In short: you cook with passion and precision and are a key member of the kitchen team.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have experience as an Independent Chef or in a similar role;

  • You have a passion for the craft and work with precision;

  • You remain calm and focused during busy service periods;

  • You are flexible in your availability, including evenings and weekends;

  • You are a team player with a proactive attitude;

  • Knowledge of HACCP is required.
