Job description
As Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Courtyard by Marriott's kitchen functions as optimally as possible within the applicable rules of the hotel and the standards of Marriott International. You will be responsible for the entire food concept and the kitchen staff.

Job requirements
Education and work experience
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a Chef de Partie;
- Minimum 2 years' management experience;
- Apprenticeship completed with relevant courses.
- In possession of an apprenticeship certificate.
Other requirements
- Good command of the Dutch or English languages.
- Living at a maximum distance of 15 kilometres from Hoofddorp.
- Willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of HACCP legislation and regulations.
What does your working day look like?
- Organising, delegating and controlling all activities and products related to the kitchen and dishes.
- Contributing operationally in the kitchen.
- Developing food products and presentation options.
- Instructing, managing and supervising employees.
- Updating department employees on work systems, house rules and manuals
- You will be responsible for purchasing and stock management.
- Checking for quality and quantity of all products from the kitchen.
- Checking kitchen (equipment) and materials for orderliness and hygiene.
